What is OPTIONELLE®?

OPTIONELLE® is the emergency contraceptive pill, trusted

OPTIONELLE® contains 1.5 mg of levonorgestrel-an ingredient that is also commonly found in birth control pills.

How does work?

If taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex or following a
contraceptive accident, OPTIONELLE® works by:
Stopping ovulation temporarily
Preventing fertilization
Preventing implantation
OPTIONELLE® won’t protect against HIV/AIDS or other
sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

When should OPTIONELLE® be taken?

OPTIONELLE® must be taken be taken within 72 hours
after unprotected sex or birth control failure. The sooner
you take it, the better it works.
